Overview

Kashmir Biryani Cafe & Restaurant, nestled along Abanao Street in the heart of Baguio, offers a genuine taste of Pakistani halal cuisine that stands out in the local dining scene. Known primarily for their Beef and Chicken Biryani, this spot brings a rich, aromatic experience that captures the essence of traditional South Asian flavors with a distinct authenticity often missing from fusion eateries.

The biryanis here are generously portioned and well-balanced, perfect for sharing or savoring solo, with tender beef and fragrant basmati rice harmonized by expertly blended spices. Their Chicken Biryani maintains a comforting, robust profile that echoes the culinary traditions found across Pakistan and the Middle East. Complementing the mains is their much-loved paratha, especially the cheese-stuffed variety, which is flaky without being overly oily—showcasing the skillful craftsmanship behind their breads.

What truly elevates the dining experience is the restaurant's dedication to authenticity. The flavors are unadulterated, free from unnecessary fusion, allowing patrons—whether longtime aficionados of halal food or curious newcomers—to connect with the true taste of South Asian culinary heritage. This is a place that appeals to those who seek legitimate halal dishes and an atmosphere reminiscent of dining abroad in Pakistan or the Middle East.

The location near Burnham Park is convenient for both locals and tourists looking to explore Baguio’s food offerings. While the space is intimate and can feel cramped during peak hours, the warm hospitality and genuine care in preparation make up for the modest setup. The air conditioning could be improved, but it doesn't detract significantly from the overall enjoyment.

For families, couples, and halal food enthusiasts, Kashmir Biryani Cafe & Restaurant is a worthy destination. Though service can sometimes lag when the staff juggles the kitchen and counter duties, the friendliness of the team shines through. The menu invites exploration beyond biryani with masala dishes that deliver rich curry sauces bursting with flavor.

In essence, Kashmir Biryani Cafe & Restaurant offers an authentic, flavorful experience that resonates deeply with those looking for halal Pakistani cuisine in Baguio. Its balance of taste, authenticity, and accessibility solidifies its place as a culinary gem in the region.

I highly recommend the cheese paratha and biryani here. I think this is one of the best and most affordable biryanis available in Baguio! My only critique is that the service counter is sometimes unattended. I saw one customer wait for a long time because the server was busy helping in the kitchen. However, the server was nice once she was able to assist. :)

Paratha is their best seller. When we ate there, halos lahat ng table may paratha. Their biryani rice is also very good; the beef was so tender. Ang downside lang for me is the shake. It tastes very artificial and is too sweet, even for someone like me who loves sweets. Limited ang space nila, so during busy days, expect na baka walang mauupuan. Overall, it's good and I would come back.

Straight out good food. Authentic Pakistani dishes. Legit halal dishes. Although it's pricey, it's expected that halal foods are expensive. I think it's the owner who is cooking the foods they sell. The Partha is not too oily and you can see the layers of the dough. It's like you are eating in their own country. No fusion on dishes and breads, you will get the taste that you expected. The masala dishes will not disappoint you. Curry (sauce) pa lang ulam na. I highly recommend this restaurant to those who have been in the middle east or Pakistan, no harakat in terms of taste and ambience.

The food was good and affordable. The biryani is good for 1-2 persons depende sa appetite. Location is very convenient. It's along the street near Burnham Park. The aircon is not that strong tho but it's fine.
